The workshop
 

In a 3 hour workshop, you will design and carve your own relief image into linoleum, using carving tools, you will mix and apply ink on them with a roller and then hand-print your image on textile products.

 

I will provide you with one tote bag to print on and plenty of fabric for test prints , but you could also bring anything you wish to print on! Any kind of natural fiber fabric would do (cotton, linen, hemp), even better if it's already washed at least once.
 

I will provide you visual media for inspiration, deriving from ancient Greek or Greek folk art, but you could also bring your own simple drawings.
 

Other things to note:
We have aprons and gloves at the studio, but you are advised to wear clothes and shoes that you don't mind getting messy!
